Off-The-Grid Water Systems

From the first to the third world, having clean water on or off-the-grid is necessary all across the globe. Earlier this week, one of our customers wrote to us asking about water treatment options for his off-the-grid camp. Luckily he had some solar panels with 110v at his disposal.

For his situation, we recommended our non-electric manual backwash filter systems and DC powered UV sterilizers to filter and sanitize his spring and well water.

For a shower and sink and toilet, 6 gallons per minute models would be a good flow size UV to get.   We have one model, from Atlantic UV that is 12VDC, that is very good, the MIN-6.

A good manual backwash non-electric sediment filter, which filters down to the 5 to 10-micron range is the Sediment Backwash 2510 Manual:
