Overview

Nano-Ceram DP Bacteria Filters for E.coli, viruses and turbidity

Unique and patented electro-positive filtration technology.  NanoCeram purifier systems are certified for NSF 42, and NSF 53.

Argonide's NanoCeram-DP Series Pleated Filter Cartridges offer two pleated layers of our patented electropositively- charged filter media, providing a unique combination of high efficiency, capacity, flow rate for bacteria and particulate adsorption while maintaining a low pressure drop.

Developed with NASA technology, our Nano-Ceram nano-fiber filters remove bacteria, viruses and turbidity from well or surface water such as lakes, springs, rivers and creeks.   7.5 log removal of E.coli, 99.5% endotoxin removal and 6 log removal of viruses.   Removes cysts and parasites.

Fits 10" big blue filter housings.  4.5" x 10" cartridge.

Flow rate 4.6 GPM maximum recommended.  Works great for point of use, for a single faucet or for small home or cottage.  Can be installed in parallel to achieve higher flow rates.

Nano-Ceram DP Bacteria Filters for E.coli, viruses and turbidity

Unique and patented electro-positive filtration technology. NanoCeram purifier systems are certified for NSF 42, and 53.

Can be used as a standalone filter for bacteria and turbidity removal, after a 5 micron prefilter (recommended, sold separatley) or for after UV sterilizers to remove endotoxins (the dead bacteria bodies) or just as a final stage to ensure the water is absolutlely safe to use.

These Pleated Filter Cartridges offer two pleated layers of our patented electropositively- charged filter media, providing a unique combination of high efficiency, capacity, flow rate for bacteria and particulate adsorption while maintaining a low pressure drop.

A combination of a thermally-bonded blend of microglas fibers & cellulose infused with nanoalumina fibers in a non-woven ma-trix creates an electropositively-charged depth filter media. These filters offer an ultra-high level of filtration efficiency because of the extra bed-depth of the two layers of electropositive filter media.

Completely safe and certified for drinking water.

Removes turbidity down to less than 0.01 NTUs. Perfect to remove color and tannins from water for point of use, or small homes or cottages.

Bacteriastatic, no bacteria can grow on the filters causing tastes and odors.

5 Micron Pre-Filter recommended ahead of the filter.

NanoCeram filters utilize a highly electropositive filter media that rapidly adsorbs particles, no matter how small. As a result, each NanoCeram electropositive water filter has a high capacity for particles as large as tens of microns or as small as a few nanometers (submicron and colloidal).

The nature of electropositive attraction is such that even with an average pore size of 2 to 3 microns the NanoCeram Filter Cartridge exhibits an Absolute Rating of 0.2 microns typically associated with ultraporous membranes. Yet NanoCeram flow rates are hundreds of times greater than such membranes.

How Long Does the Cartridge Last?

When you notice pressure loss through the filter (the water begins to run more slowly) it is time to change it.  Depending on water usage and the amount of sediment in the water, this can be anywhere from 4 to 18 months.  To extend life of the Nano-Ceram, we recommend the use a 5 micron pre-filter ahead of the Nano-Ceram.
